Polyglot policies
Use it responsibly
Polyglot helps you create and translate subtitles and enhance video. Use those capabilities responsibly, with media you are legally allowed to process.
Check rights before you start
Your own films, product demos, authorized lecture recordings and permission-cleared interviews are useful starting points. Ownership of a copy, access to a stream or attendance at an event does not automatically grant recording, translation or redistribution rights. Requirements depend on the content, permissions, intended use and applicable law.
Obtain any required permission from rights holders and people recorded. Check copyright, privacy, confidentiality and institutional rules. When children or sensitive information are involved, take particular care and use the safeguards required for that context.
Unlawful uses are prohibited
Do not use Polyglot to infringe copyright or other rights, unlawfully record or disclose private information, distribute unlawful content, or facilitate harassment, fraud or other illegal conduct. Do not use it to bypass DRM, paywalls, access controls or restrictions you are not authorized to bypass.
Video-link import is for supported, accessible content you may lawfully download and process. A working download or technically possible transformation does not establish permission. Private, password-protected, DRM-protected and still-live streams are not supported promises.
Review before sharing
Check AI output and translations for mistakes and misleading changes. Do not present altered media or inaccurate subtitles in a way that deceives people about what was said or happened. Preserve appropriate context and attribution. Enhancement can introduce visual artifacts and is not a way to establish facts missing from a recording.
Local processing and enforcement
The app processes files on your device. We do not inspect every recording and cannot prevent every misuse. That technical limitation does not authorize prohibited conduct or transfer responsibility for your actions to the provider. We may take proportionate steps within our control where required or justified by law; we do not claim remote control over your local files.
