Before you begin.
Is every translation language also supported for audio?
No. For example, Japanese and Norwegian are translation targets, but Polyglot cannot transcribe Japanese or Norwegian speech. Check the 25-language audio list above before importing a recording.
What if I already have subtitles?
Import an SRT or VTT in Translate to work from the text without transcribing the recording again. The audio language list applies to speech recognition; translation quality still depends on the source and target languages.
Does language processing happen on my Mac?
Yes. Transcription and translation run locally after the required models are downloaded. Your recordings and subtitle text are not uploaded for processing.
