Choose Translate in the sidebar or drop an SRT into Polyglot. The complete document is checked before import. UTF-8 and UTF-16 files are supported, including multiline text and overlapping cues. Malformed files show an error instead of silently losing lines.
Polyglot preserves cue numbers, order and millisecond timing. Select one or more target languages, then translate on your Mac. Review names, terminology and reading length next to the source. If you have the video, attach it for an optional playback check.
Export a selected track, all completed languages from its project, or a batch from Files. Batch exports are grouped by project. Your imported SRT stays untouched. Completed translations are kept, and saved partial progress can resume. Add languages during your seven-day trial or with Pro.
Yes. Translate unlimited SRT and VTT files into one or more languages for seven days. The trial starts with your first transcription or translation job. After it ends, new translations require Pro; your projects remain available to edit, convert and export.
No. The SRT contains the text and timestamps. You can optionally attach a video for preview, but translation and export work without it.
Translation keeps SRT numbering, order, overlap and millisecond timestamps. You can explicitly apply a fixed timing offset to every track using Adjust subtitle timing. Text editing alone does not move cues.
Yes. The subtitle file tools accept UTF-8 WebVTT, translate it and export SRT or VTT. Presentation such as styling and positioning is removed with an import notice. ASS is not supported.
