Terms of use
These terms describe use of Polyglot and this website, provided by Dylan de Heer Holding B.V.. Review them before using the software. They do not replace third-party software licenses or rights that applicable law gives you.
Using Polyglot
You may install and use the distributed Polyglot app for lawful personal or business work, subject to these terms and applicable third-party licenses. The app and website remain protected by intellectual property law. No ownership of the app is transferred to you. Restrictions do not override rights to use, examine or modify separately licensed open-source components under their own licenses.
Use media that you own or are authorized to process, record, translate and distribute. Follow our acceptable-use policy. You are responsible for deciding whether you have the necessary rights, permissions and legal basis for a particular recording.
Your files and generated results
You retain your rights in your source media and text. We do not claim ownership of your recordings or subtitle projects. Generated output may contain errors or content in which rights are uncertain; output is not a guarantee of accuracy, originality, copyright clearance or accessibility compliance.
Review names, meaning, translations, timing and relevant sound information before publication or reliance. Do not treat generated text as a certified translation, official record or professional advice. Keep backups of important source files, projects and exports. Local processing does not remove your own privacy or security obligations.
Availability and updates
Features depend on supported hardware, macOS, codecs, model availability and third-party dependencies. The website explains current requirements and known limits. Internet access is needed for initial model downloads, requested video downloads, documentation and update checks.
We may provide changes, fixes or signed updates and may change or discontinue features subject to applicable law and any specific commitments made to you. Install only releases from the official site or the signed in-app updater. Third-party services may change independently of Polyglot.
Responsibility and mandatory rights
We take reasonable care in developing and describing Polyglot, but AI output and uninterrupted or error-free operation are not guaranteed. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for loss caused by your unauthorized use, your publication of unchecked output, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Nothing here excludes or limits liability where that would be unlawful, including liability that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer law. Statutory rights and any mandatory warranties remain available. These terms do not create a blanket exemption from responsibility merely because the app runs locally.
Applicable law and contact
Dutch law applies, without depriving consumers of mandatory protections available under the law that otherwise applies to them. Disputes may be brought before courts that have jurisdiction under applicable law; these terms do not remove consumers’ mandatory forum rights.

Changes to these terms
We publish material changes with an updated date. Changes do not retroactively remove rights already accrued. Any future paid offer would need its own clear price, payment, cancellation and consumer information before a purchase.
