Cookies & website storage
Your choice
Limited PostHog usage analytics are on by default. There is no automatic banner. Open Analytics preferences in the footer and choose Turn off to stop further analytics. Existing off choices are preserved. Change your choice through Analytics preferences in the footer. Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track keeps analytics off. Advertising and session replay are disabled.
What is stored
We store your choice in local storage as polyglot.analytics.v1. While analytics are enabled, polyglot.analytics.id holds a random browser identifier. PostHog uses in-memory event persistence; we do not configure an analytics cookie. The SDK may store local preference or session markers while analytics are enabled. Turning analytics off removes the Polyglot identifier and disables capture. Preferences have no scheduled expiry; you can clear them in browser settings.
Events include published page paths, broad referral categories, downloads and guide engagement. Query strings, full referrers and form contents are excluded. The privacy notice explains the separate app setting and service providers.
Ordinary web requests
Browsers cache public pages and images. Hosting services receive request information to deliver and secure the site, separately from optional analytics. Publishing jobs must not introduce trackers, event fields or external embeds without a product and privacy review.
