Getting started

1. Install Polyglot.Open the downloaded DMG. Drag Polyglot into Applications, then open it from there.
2. Download your models.Create needs the speech model; Translate needs the translation model. Download only what you need. Editing, file conversion and text export work without AI models.
3. Create your first subtitles.Choose Create, import audio or video, and generate the original subtitles. Review the text before optionally adding translations. Already have an SRT or VTT? Start in Translate.

Find your work again

Files lists saved subtitle tracks, grouped by project, with search, language filters and batch actions. Projects brings each recording and its languages together. Open a track to edit, then export SRT, VTT or TXT when it is ready.

Updating Polyglot

Choose Polyglot Check for Updates…. Sparkle checks the release signature before installation. If that menu is missing, download and install the new version manually once to enable future in-app updates.

Video enhancement

Optional AI enhancement models are separate downloads. SeedVR2 requires at least 16 GB of memory. Preview a short scene first: enhancement can introduce artifacts and rendering is not real time.
